Auto Trader all employee conference
When the team from AutoTrader.co.uk, the UK’s leading motoring website, decided to hold a conference for its seven workforces across the North West and London the venue chosen for the event was The Point, a stunning £12million development, at Emirates Old Trafford. Leigh Acutt, Head of Events said:
We chose Emirates Old Trafford because we were looking for a Northern venue as most of our workforce is based in the North West. We needed a space that could easily accommodate and implement our challenging agenda for the day, and extremely good Wi-Fi was key as we used our own conference mobile app on the day.
As the UK’s leading motoring digital marketplace, with over 11.5 million unique users per month, Auto Trader has offices spread throughout the North West and London. The location of Emirates Old Trafford which is easy to reach by rail or road and has free parking, was convenient for attendees travelling from all over.
Auto Trader’s first ever All Employee Conference saw almost 800 of the company’s staff under one roof for the first time in its 37-year history. The Point has flexibility to meet virtually any need, and can seat up to 1,000 guests. The conference also involved the use of six different breakout rooms, each one being changed three times during the day to create a different “look and feel” for each session.
Leigh added: “The Point worked brilliantly for our first ever All Employee Conference. The staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough to help, and the food was delicious. The space worked well with all our requirements, and the feedback from delegates has been incredibly positive- they left feeling inspired, motivated and excited.”
The day featured business updates from the company’s CEO, as well as show and tell breakout sessions and a values exhibition.
The event, which also included invited customers who attended to give first-hand feedback, was such a success that Auto Trader has decided the conference will become an annual event.
